The Department of Hotel Management organized an enriching visit to hotel Holiday Inn Amritsar on April 11, 2023 for the students of Ist year HMCT.
The students were accompanied by Ms Tavisha Mishra, Mr Abhishek Kundra Mr. Gagandeep Singh under the guidance of HOD Mr. Sandeep Singh Maan.
The main aim of the visit was to provide practical exposure to the students about the latest trends in hospitality sector.
Ms. Suman HR Manager and Mr. Rajiv conducted the induction session.
They briefed the students about their organisation, their protocols and working culture. The also explained the operations of Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage Service, Food Production, HR, Accounts and IT Departments.
Mr.Amit Hasija Principal of Department of Hotel Management explained to the students about the importance of such visits.
Students were divided into 2 groups and taken to the various departments of hotel.
The students expressed their gratitude to the Management for organising frequent visits to hotels and all of them said that they have become more knowledgeable as they gained first-hand experience of the working environment of 5 star hotel.
The visit was a resounding success and provided a great opportunity to the students to learn how to work in such hotels after the completion of their course.
