Global Group of Institutes in collaboration with Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of the Govt.of India organised ‘Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme’ on “Self Employment Opportunities”at its campus today. The programme was addressed by Mr. Kundan Lal,Asstt. Director MSME,DFO , Ludhiana, Ms. Mandeep Kaur Tangra,MD Sinbha Quartz Pvt. Ltd.,Mr. Rohit Mohindru, Functional Manager Distt. Industries Centre, Amritsar ,Mr. Krishan Kumar Asstt. Director MSME, DFO,Ldh. and Mr. Umesh Jaitley, Financial Literacy Counsellor Punjab National Bank . The programme started with Dr. Sanjeev Saini welcoming the guests and introduction of the subject under discussion. Mr. Kundan Lal from Ministry of MSME during his address on Self Employment Opportunities motivated the students to chart their own enterprises . He dwelt in detail about the basic schemes of Govt. Of India which can be availed by students after their courses.He informed the students about the availability of funds, project reports, project profiles , rate of profit and as to how to offset losses. He also informed the audience that the Ministry organise regular skill and management development programmes . The MSME nurture the ideas and the selected innovative ideas are provided ₹15 lakhs through host institute to make that idea functional and also provide seed capital of Rs. 1Crore to the incubatee to establish an enterprise.
Mr. Mandeep Kaur Tangra MD Sinbha Quartz Pvt Ltd.in her speech acquainted the students with the steps required to be taken for establishing a successful business enterprise . She shared the experience of her own journey towards becoming a successful entrepreneur and being the first to start it in her small village . She told the gathering that as the jobs are getting fewer the need to create more jobs is much needed.She exhorted the students to give their hundred percent to whatever they want to pursue.She exhorted the students to think beyond just getting placements and develop capabilities to land job and start businesses . She proudly shared her success story with the students and apprised them of the value of confidence, commitment and perseverance in the her journey. She said that if you prove yourself recognition will follow you. Mr. Krishan Kumar Asstt. Director MSME DFO Ldh.spoke about the opportunities made available by the Ministry of MSME,Govt. Of India for the aspiring entrepreneurs .He asked students to plan the project,identify the problem,do proper research and find solutions by using technology. Mr. Rohit Mohindru Functional Manager Distt. Industries Centre introduced various schemes offered by the Punjab Govt. for establishing MSME ‘s. Mr. Umesh Jaitley, Financial Literacy Counsellor, Punjab National Bank apprised the students with various services offered by the banks to help young entrepreneurs . Vice Chairman of Global Group of Institutes Dr. Akashdeep Singh Chandi felicitated the guest speakers and highlighted the role of such awareness programmes. He said that the idea behind organising such programmes is to create job givers rather than job seekers. He thanked the august panelists for their enlightened views which would be of great help to the students. Present on the occasion were Campus Director Dr M.S.Saini, Dean Students Welfare Dr. P. K.Sharma, Dean Training and Placement Col. Sudhir Behal,Heads of Departments, faculty members and a large number of future technocrats and managers amongst the students. Mr. Bikrampal Singh Deputy Dean Training and Placement conducted the proceedings of the Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme.
