The tour was to KBL-KASOOR
BLOWER- VILLAGE BHOEWAL NEAR MEHTA ROAD, AMRITSAR.
Junior Engineer Er. Harmandeep Singh shared very valuable information on the topic of Crosshead Regulators, Diverting and Regulating the supplies into the distributories from the parent channel, and also demonstrated it through practical by using the auto level.
He also explained as how to irrigate the village with artificial canal water.
Er. Harmandeep Singh also showed L-sectioning work which has been undertaken by Punjab Govt. for preparing these canals and diversion headworks structure which is constructed across a river to raise the water level in the river so that it can be diverted into the off-taking canals.
A total of 40 students along with 4 faculty members gained sufficient knowledge relating to irrigation works in civil engineering.
