Global Group of Institutes organized Inter State Youth Annual Festival ‘Udaan-2022’ on 11th Nov 2022.

A large number of students representing various colleges and Technical Institutes from different parts of Punjab showcased their talent in a wide array of co-curricular, technical and cultural activities during various events.

A host of cultural events like singing, solo and group dances, plays, Folk dance, Skits, Choreography added to the festivities. Likewise many other non technical events were held to test the imaginative thinking of the young minds which added colour to the day long festivities.

The festival Uddan 22 was

Inaugurated by the Chairman Dr. B. S. Chandi.

Dr. M.S. Saini, Campus Director, in his address, highlighted the achievements of the meritorious faculty and students in academics having won 21 gold medals besides a number of first positions and merit position in the Punjab Technical University Examinations year after year.

Vice Chairman Dr. Akashdeep Singh Chandi welcomed the teams and their teachers in Udaan-2022 and thanked them for making it a huge success by participating whole heartedly in the festival in large number.

He extended a hearty welcome to the Chief Guest of the day Mr. Mohinish Chawla IPS, IG Border Range who distributed the Trophies and Awards to the Winners and Runnerup as well as the Overall Championship Trophy.

Mr. Surinder Singh, ADC, Amritsar was the Guest of Honour.

The Inter State Youth Festival ‘UDAAN 2022’ Overall Trophy for best performance in the festival was bagged by Shanti Devi Arya Mahila College, Dinanagar.

The students of Global Group of Institutes, Amritsar won Runnerup Trophy for their all-round performance.

(10) Choreography – Winner: SDAM College, Dinanagar. & Runnerup : Global Group of Institutes, Amritsar.

After the conclusion of distribution of prizes the highlight of the Festival was Star Night.

A scintillating and entertaining performance by SUNANDA SHARMA a famous and much liked actor and punjabi singer who enthralled the audience with her melifluous and melodious singing.

The festival finally came to an end after her highly enjoyable performance to the delight of all present especially the students.

Prof. B.D. Sharma (Director Admissions), Dr P K Sharma (Dean Students Welfare) Principals, Deans, HODs, Faculty members and a large number of students enjoyed the presentations of various teams during the festival.
